Hannah Berg, PhD | Lab Director
Dr. Berg received her PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Minnesota with Dr. Shmuel Lissek. In 2021, she joined the Laureate Institute for Brain Research (LIBR) for a predoctoral clinical internship, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at LIBR with Dr. Robin Aupperle. In 2024, Dr. Berg began her current position as Associate Investigator at LIBR. She directs the Berg Lab, which focuses on investigating the neural underpinnings of threat-related behavior in anxiety disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), with the aim of identifying treatment targets and informing future interventions.

Riley Rozniarek | Research Specialist
Riley Rozniarek earned her B.S. in Brain and Behavioral Sciences with highest distinction from Purdue University in 2024, along with a minor in Human Development and Family Sciences. She joined the Berg Lab in 2024 as a Research Specialist. Riley is broadly interested in cognitive-affective processes, such as threat response, emotion regulation, and social-reward processing, in individuals with anxiety and autism spectrum disorders. Her long-term goal is to integrate neuroimaging and behavioral methods to advance understanding of brain–behavior relationships and inform the development of more effective strategies for assessment and intervention.

Annette Rostel | Research Volunteer
Annette Rostel earned her B.S. in Psychology with distinction from Rogers State University, additionally completing a minor in Sociology. Her areas of interest include psychiatric nosology and epidemiology, the etiology of psychopathology, and diagnostic measure development using applied statistical approaches. More recently, she has developed a growing interest in the Hierarchical Taxonomy of Psychopathology (HiTOP) and its utility in informing future advancements in diagnostic practice.
